The Cairns Crapology Conference

"Oceanographer and climate scientist John Church, who is writing the
chapter on sea level rises for the IPCC’s 2013 update, said the world’s
oceans were *on* *track* to rise by between 60cm and 80cm by 2100.
‘There’s no evidence to say that the IPCC has overestimated (the
predictions)’, Dr Church said".

On track eh?

"Abstract. A new error budget assessment of the global
Mean Sea Level (MSL) determined by TOPEX/Poseidon and
Jason-1 altimeter satellites between January 1993 and June
2008 is presented using last altimeter standards. We discuss
all potential errors affecting the calculation of the global
MSL rate. We also compare altimetry-based sea level with
tide gauge measurements over the altimetric period. Applying
a statistical approach, this allows us to provide a realistic
error budget of the MSL rise measured by satellite altimetry.
These new calculations highlight a *reduction* in the rate of sea
level rise since 2005, by ~2 mm/yr. This represents a 60%
*reduction* compared to the 3.3 mm/yr sea level rise (glacial
isostatic adjustment correction applied) measured between
1993 and 2005. Since November 2005, MSL is accurately
measured by a single satellite, Jason-1. However the error
analysis performed here indicates that the recent *reduction* in
MSL rate is real".

New Evidence Proves That Ayn Rand Was Secretly A Socialist Bloodsucker – All Randoids Should Pray For Redemption Or Face Prison For Their Lies And Hypocrisy

On top of this, she was also a disgusting Meth addict.  We all know that Meth
addicts are human sewage.

An interview with Evva Pryror, a social worker and consultant to Miss
Rand’s law firm of Ernst, Cane, Gitlin and Winick verified that on Miss
Rand’s behalf she secured Rand’s Social Security and Medicare payments which
Ayn received under the name of Ann O’Connor (husband Frank O’Connor).

As Pryor said, "Doctors cost a lot more money than books earn and she
could be totally wiped out" without the aid of these two government programs.
Ayn took the bail out even though Ayn "despised government interference and
felt that people should and could live independently… She didn’t feel that
an individual should take help."

O'Farrell initiates North-west rail link project

Sets up the team to build the North-West rail link. Originally scheduled
to be completed by Labor in 2010, nothing was done by Labor.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/breaking-news/full-steam-ahead-on-tr…

"Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian said NSW would lobby the Federal
Government to have the $2.1 billion committed to the Parramatta to
Epping rail link transferred to the North West project. Federal
Transport Minister Anthony Albanese earlier ruled out moving
Commonwealth funds from one project to another".

Comment:
If Federal Labor refuses to provide the funds *promised* by Julia
Gillard to the government elected by the people of NSW to manage
transport it will show Gillard’s contempt for the people of NSW and
contempt for NSW’s jurisdiction over transport.

Julia Gillard has chosen to single out the Greens (the party, that is)
for failing to share ‘mainstream values’. Let’s see if Gillard can show
*respect* for the people of NSW.

An Ozone Hole In The Warmist Argument

An Ozone Hole In The Warmist Argument

April 6 2011

February 11:

Good Environment says if we could unite to fix the ozone hole, we can also
unite to tackle global warming:

Remember, it was in 1989 that world leaders got serious about combating
ozone depletion, and successfully negotiated the Montreal Protocol, an
international treaty to phase out ozone-depleting chemicals.

In the world international climate negotiations, The Montreal Protocol
process is often held up as a success story, an example of how international
environmental diplomacy works.

It’s important to remember, though, that solving ozone depletion basically
meant forcing industry to find chemical replacements for CFCs. A tough sell
for pro-business political forces, but a relatively easy fix. Solving the
climate crisis involves an entire economy-wide shift in energy production.

http://www.good.is/post/what-the-ozone-hole-can-teach-us-about-stoppi…

BUT, BUT, BUT .

March 6: Uh oh:

DEPLETION of the ozone layer over the Arctic has reached record levels, the
UN weather agency WMO says, blaming harmful substances in the atmosphere and
a very cold winter.

Yeah right.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s just a NATURAL CYCLE!

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/world/record-ozone-depletion-over-ar…

Blames a very cold winter?

Seems we might be safer if it got warmer, after all!

Garnaut Colleague:, What Gain For This Self Inflicted Pain?

Garnaut Colleague:, What Gain For This Self Inflicted Pain?

April 7 2011

Distracted by my court case last week, I missed this significant change in
the intellectual climate:

MARK COLVIN: A leading environmental economist says he’s seriously concerned
about Ross Garnaut’s assumption that a carbon tax would help the
environment.

Professor Jeff Bennett is from the Crawford School at the Australian
National University. That’s the same school of economics that Professor
Garnaut led for almost a decade.

Jeff Bennett says carbon taxes, or a cap and trade scheme, are unlikely to
generate any real benefit to the community.

He told PM’s Bronwyn Herbert that we should adapt to a world with more
greenhouse gases.

JEFF BENNETT: It may well be that human beings are exacerbating climate
change on the planet. My concern is what we should be doing about that. We
have evidence that the imposition of a tax, or the construction of a cap and
trade permit scheme would impose considerable costs on the Australian
community, indeed the world community and what I’m interested in is whether
or not the imposition of those taxes would in fact generate any real benefit
to the community….

My concern is with the mitigation strategy, which is fundamental to both the
Government and the Coalition’s policies, is that the benefits that we will
see from the mitigation strategy are very, very limited, given the extent of
the costs that we have to bear as a society to achieve those benefits….
The point here is that we should be very, very aware of conducting an
economic analysis that weighs up the costs of proposed actions, against the
benefits. ..

You see, the policies that we put in place will not avoid global climate
change. There may be some impact but my point here is that even the world’s
best climate scientists will agree that the sort of impact we will make by
imposing these taxes or the cap and trades schemes is minimal. …

Well my serious concern is that even if the whole world agreed to conform
with the sort of international protocols that are being negotiated at Kyoto,
then at Cancun and Copenhagen, all of those levels, even if there was
complete consensus across the world would result in very, very little by way
of climate change impacts.

This is the very argumentn I’ve tried to raise in asking repeatedly this
simple question that not a single global warming activist dares answer:

by how much will Julia LieHard’s planned cuts to our emissions lower the
world’s temperature?

What’s the gain for all this pain?

ANSWER: VIRTUALLY ZERO.

Huh?
What form do these "subsidies" take??
So-called "fossil fuels" don’t need subsidies.
Everyone is falling over each other to BUY more "fossil fuel" to maintain
their standard of living!
"Fossil fuels" are currently producing INDECENT PROFITS.
